Remember: Not the Bible Alone

The Bible is a Catholic book (or, collection of books, letters, etc. - but that's another post).
We have to reclaim this as a Catholic book, but at the same time, we can't forget that there is more. The Bible itself (and, of course, God through it) tells us so:
"He who hears you, hears me. And he who rejects you, rejects me. And he who rejects me, rejects Him who sent me." (Luke 10:16)
The operative word there is "hear" - not "read". The Bible didn't exist during Jesus' earthly ministry. Jesus is not saying that whoever reads the Bible reads His words (though that's true, of course); He's saying that whoever hears the words of the apostles - the oral passing of Tradition - are hearing Him.
